faster gearbox
Hi i want to change the gearbox over on my soon to be vts.
anyone no what is the best likely box to put on for acceleration and top speed cus i dont want to be sat on the motorway at 80 and not being able to go any fasteer

my gearbox has just gone on mine.. I want aceleration.. What box would you recomend? 02 vtr btw.

If you want accelleration like you say, swap it for an S2 106 rallye box my man.
You will rev higher on the motorway though.

i do a motorway lik once a month not even that. how is it likely to rev at top speed.
anyone got any facts on these s2 boxes
heard the s1 is alrite but it cud be the same. im not good with gearboxes

S2 box ftw mate, not sure how much they are, dont see many of them come up in good nic second hand these days.
A good 106 rallye is rare enough as it is.

s2 is next
then xsi box
there the boxes people favour to aid acceleration

you forget theres two types of xsi box.
the 1.6xsi is the same as the s2 rallye aswell.
