Default I want a french car,lol

i've just been doing a bit of reading and omfg how cheap are aftermarket parts for your cars.
To give some idea of what i mean;
Full cat back for a saxo £200,

5zigen Border304 speed backbox on my civic £501.18,5zigen manifold on the civic £367.54 .yes the yen is strong atm but even last year the prices were stupidly high.

Is it just me or does anyone else think this is crazy?

Entirely depends on what you're after. For a Saxo, performance parts are generally very well priced, modding one will be cheaper than your Civic for sure. There are shortfalls in other areas, such as build quality etc, but you probably already know.

For budget tuning and modding, french hot-hatches are hard to beat. But then again if you're already running a 190bhp civic then most cheap French hot-hatches are well below that and would cost a bit to get that similar power (exception of 172/182 etc)

They also break down a lot and most owners complain about them.

I learnt a lot about french cars when my car failed its MOT and needed 150 quid spending on it!

you can get a poor quality manifold for a saxo for £125 you can get a better quality manifold for over £00 for the saxo.

Get what you spend, as always.
