Maybe bent rear axle!
The rear off my car, 1 side is higher and 1 of the wheels is off camber by quite abit. My mate reckons my axle could be bent as look like the inner of my wheel is rubbing too. Suggestions? thanks!

It doesn't have a rear axel, its FWD! lol. Sounds like the bearings are totaled. Jack it up about 30mm from the floor and lever the wheel with a bar to look for play in the bearing. You probs need a replacement rear beam set-up.

fwd cars have axels, what else would the wheels be attached to?
to answer the original question though, saxo's dont have a traditional axel they have a fixed axel with 2 trailing arms and its the bearings at each end oif the axel that these trailing arms sit on that will have fallen apart and caused wear on the stub pins that they rest on.
its best to jack your car up and have a proper look about underneath to understand whats what and while its jacked up hold your wheel at ten to 2 position and push it back and forth, if it moves about a lot its definately the bearings

Wheel rubbing on the rear end is deffo a bad bad bad thing. Get that sucker off the road and get yourself down the breakers for a replacement. Not an impossible job for you to do, just follow the good book. Trolley jacks and some big-ass sockets etc.
Alternatively there is somewhere in Somerset (I think) turns them around for £300 ish fitted or posted (with exchange for yours). I'll try and remember to find you the details / website laters.

See what you're getting at there..... however... fwd cars have half shafts if your gonna be picky.. I wrote 'don't have a REAR axel' and wheels are attached to hubs not axels....
An axel transmits drive, suspension does not!

they are not that big they are 17mm or 19mm the four in the rear then an 11mm spanner for the brake lines, can't remember what for the handbrake cable. should take you no time at all.

So you reckon its the bearings because the other side looks fine.

No, on the front they mount to: CV joint, track rod end, bottom arm, and suspension strut.
On the rear they attach to a stub axel, which no is not the same as an 'axel' and is cretainly not the whole rear beam.
A suspension beam is still not an axel... so don't pick faults with my posts when I'm trying to help someone.

Yes it's a common fault on saxo's unfortunately.

To be honest, unless you've got a fair amount of practical skills when it comes to cars I wouldn't recommend doing it, if done slightly wrong it will wreck the new bearings in no time. If it has a huge camber on it it wouldn't be advisable to try and diy it anyway. The cheapest, most sensible option for you is to buy a used rear beam from a low milage saxo or 106.

worn stub pin. and they dont make them anymore. piggy123 off here gets them machined for him. He charges about £300 i think for a refurbed beam. Or you can buy a replacement beam from a scrappy or ebay for £100ish

Check these fellas out:

Maybe not just down the road for you (trip to the seaside?), but the postage option is there and only an hour or so labour at home.
Stripping a beam down is not for the faint hearted!!! Just get it replaced.
