Default heavy vibrations from powerflex mount!!!!

i recently replaced [last weekend]my bottom engine mount with a powerflex bush and i wasnt happy with the results yes the engine movement that was there before has gone completely but the deep vibrations it gives are unbelievable my whole dash/doors/steering wheel all shake and shudder does anybody know if they wear in after a while i hope they do or ill be buying a standard replacement rather soon.......... any info would would be very helpfull..

That's totally normal mate. I don't think it's as bad as you're making it out to be - the benefits outweigh the drawbacks imo!

mine rattles a bit. but the positives FARRR outweigh the negatives for the stiffer mount.

maybe i just need to get used to it i agree with you all the stiffer mount is a lot better......a smoother gear change i noticed straight away too which i was happy with and my engine is solid in place with hardly no movement.....

get a group n upper gearbox mount it gets rid of the rattles which teh lower one causes.

Im getting one soon, I like the feel of things like that like my car being stripped, Gives the car of a raw feel too it which is good when your giving it some.

The lowe mount is probably just highlighting how used/worn your other two engine mounts are. Time to upgrade the others

i just ordered the PF lower mount and tbh im not too fussed if it makes my car rattle. its a saxo it fucking rattles anyway!!!!!!!!!

What I dont undersrand is that mines totally stripped, and I still get rattles from the back. Even the shells loose lol

its the wiring loom rattling off the shell
and the bootlid rattles

just ordered a group n gearbox mount off ebay so thats 2 mounts replaced does anyone kno if theres a powerflex or other brand mount for the top of the engine timing belt side or is thst just a standard replacement from citroen...

No there isnmt YET. Theres a company in the process of making them atm. At the moment you can only buy them for S1's
