Default installed induction kit car cuts out when starting engine?

Hi guys! i have finally installed my new KnN induction kit (57-0204) for the 1.1 forte SPI engine. I have followed the instructions correctly and carefully and the car was running fine, however the next day i came to start up my car i turned the ignition and it kept cutting out? it took a good 5 tries to get the needle to sit idle. is there any help that you can offer? much appreciated

1.1's are difficult to start from cold with induction kits from my experiences, it could be getting too much air?

Since I dont have facebook I cant see it XD but i looked it up and i think it is rediculously too big for a 1.1i. Ive got the desire and it sips the air in even at high revs so your going to have to replace it with a smaller one because the ECU will just be like wtf is this thing lol

nt to big, just because the warm air feed of the manifold has been removed, there for will run lumpy till the engine is warm.

On the SPI engines it uses the heat from the manifold to warm the engine up. As from what im told. Resetting ECU may help if the problem isnt resolved try putting the standard air box back on.

I dont think it's an air issue since the butterfly will be nearly closed anyway... he could have knocked a sensor when fitting it.

That's not too big, its the real one for the SPi 1.1 as its got a top mounted system...

Check all the sensors, My vtr had a sensor unplugged and kept cutting out unless i started it with some revs
