vts pistons
is it worth replacing piston rings or would it be easier finding another engine, ie price wize and work involved

depends if you are doing it yourself.
You can get VTS bottom ends for around (slightly under at times a ton)

bin saving to charge it, if i gt forged pistons, now it wouldnt upset the running, not being charged et would it?

yes it will, id have thought.
as the pistons for charging are low compression, so you would loose power and it wouldnt run so good on a standard map.
correct me if im wrong
