Rattle Can Spray Effects....
hey guys.
I think this will be ok in here but if it needs moved then please do so accordingly mods.
Basically im wanting to spray something on my car, but not just one colour.
Want it to be 2 colours, one at one side and the other at the other side.
But where they will meet in the middle, instead of just a line where they meet, im wanting it to look like the blend into each other.
can this be done with rattle cans??
like spray both sides each colour, then maybe cover one side off and put a light dusting of the colour over the other?? to create well like a merging effect??
Hope you all understand that lol
got a pic to show what i meen,
See how they merge together?
could that be done with rattle cans??
any help would be good also any other effects that you guys know can be done with rattle cans, post them up i could be intrested

it could be done yeah, however it might be abit tricky, give it a test run on something like wood or whatever see how you manage

I did this not long ago on the side of a car, not using rattle cans though. I was using black and a dark silver, I wagged the full side black then put a few wet coats on the front to get the silver up to opactity then flicked the silver down the side

Will usually need a large area to blend it properly

Rockers may be just big enough, try it on similar sizes of cardboard prior to it, Wouldn't get too fancy with it all tho as rockers are hard enough to make paint stay on em looking good as it is

I think its something like spray the whole thing the darker color first let it dry then get arty and try your best to merge. as said trial it on a similar sized bit of wood or something to get your eye in.

It can be done by airbrushing the two together

Fill your sink full of hot (not boiling water).
Dump your aerosols in the sink full of water for 15 minutes, shaking occasionally along the way.
Shake hard for a few minutes, then put back in the water for a few minutes.
The paint will never get any better than this, so give your blend ago on a trail patch. It should be do-able...
Obviously, this is slightly different, but the flames on this RC car were spray painted with cans.
