Default Does this sound about the right price?...

Just been quoted for 3 new wheel hubs + 2 brake disc + new 4 new break pads £500

£500 sounds abit steap to me? as brake discs and pads cost fuck all and hubs are around £50 each brand new.

What do you rekon because i dont want to get stiched up because my car has never been to a garage before?

Cheers, Lloyd.

If that's parts then your getting bummed. If its plus labour for for fitting then sounds about right for a normal garage.

A mintex brake box is under £50 for both discs and 4 pads.

Have a look around just to get some quotes, as you know what you need from the list above, just ask em for a rough estimate. You never know could find a cheaper garage? Well worth the 10 mins it would take.

If you have a jack and a haynes, give it a go yourself. No need to bleed the brakes if just replacing the pads & discs.

Not too sure how hard the old hubs are to get off like.

I've changed both the rear hubs myself at work in the past. But i dont have that press tool to leaver them off or a big enough socket at home for me to do it Its at the garage now anyway so it should be done later on today
