How much should I be paying for a new starter motor for my VTR fitted

Are they easy to fit your self?

try ringing GSF (german swedish and french car parts) mate if you have one in ur area, very good prices for saxo car parts..as for fitting im not too sure

starter motors are a piece of piss to fit... but not on the saxo lol... they are 'kin awkward to get to in my experience.. idealy you need a pit and sum patience... and be prepeared for sum cut knuckles!...

although dont let me put you off... i would rather fit most things than be ripped off a garage...

most motor factors would probably do an exchange as well where you take in your old starter so they can get it refurbed and you get some money off one did with mine from APD

I got quoted 112 quid from halfrauds! the cheeky bastards! went to scrappie and pulled one in good working order for 15 quid and fitted it in under 20 minutes! wahay!
