Default 4-1 mani blowing

i recently fitted my raceland 4-1, however the part which clamps on the end on the downpipe is blowing. i have fitted it with exhuast paste and the U clamp is fully tightened. is there anything else i can do to solve this?

read something somewhere that it is meant to come with a ring or something that solves that....not sure though...get it on a ramp at a garage and see what he says!

are you talking about the manifold or the flange where it joins the cat/decat

you need a new fire ring if so

The manifold came in two bits, the main bit and a tiny little tube part which fits on to the end of the manifold. Where these two parts join i have circled on the above image. It is getting that join sealed is what i am having difficulties with

Just to check, Can you feel it blowing?
I've got the Raceland 4-2-1 and it sounds like it's blowing, but isn't, think it just sounds like it due to the thin metal.

could try a better exhaust paste. Halfords can supply some exhaust putty.. its like exhaust paste with stringy bits it that help it clump together to form a decent seal.
