Default Gearbox and breaking related?

For a while now my gearbox has been getting noisier and is sometimes hard to get into gear but today i noticed that when i brake i have a weird noise coming from the same side as the gearbox, its like a creaking sort of noise and changes speed depending on how fast im braking.
Any ideas?

noise still there and hasnt changed , gearbox is now fine so it must be brake related, its whener i brake i get the noise, been like it for 4 months now so i booked it into a garage to be looked at in my college break and would you beleive it, on the way to college noise stopped so thought no point going to the garage.
On way home noise back again , cant beleive it
