Picked it up about 4 weeks ago as a cheap runabout but the girly little thing ended up growing on me! So after a check over ive found it needs a new rear axle and theres various knocking noises up front so decided to freshen the lot up

Its bog standard as it stands now but I've already got plans and a few bits ordered for it!

So far i have sat waiting to fit: brembo grooved front and rear discs, DS2500 pads, HEL braided lines, silkolene rbf 2000 fluid. KW 60mm springs and a green cotton air filter.

The shafts up front are grinding a fair bit so whilst the front end is apart im going to fit new strut top bearings and droplinks too. Also as its done 40k it needs the bushes replacing, so i was thinking a set of powerflex bushes. not too sure how it will affect ride though.

tuning wise i dont want to go mad, so a decent manifold and exhaust system. its my runabout though, so i dont want it to be mega loud. someone suggested a magnex system coupled to a supersprint manifold? but im clueless as to the best setup. Ive seen some raceland manifolds and a scorpion saxsport? basically a roadgoing pugsport exhaust for sale so thought about that as its not too expensive.

also a debadged meshed grille and take the lights apart and paint the inners black are a must! any suggestions, esp on exhaust recommendations welcome!

I did think about just upgrading the brakes and then fitting all brand new oem suspension and bushes etc, but wheres the fun in that? its not quite got retro status like an S1 rs turbo or 205 gti so a few choice mods wont be the end of the world!

Nice one, im going to order mine the end of the month after its been mot'd so i can do away with the cat too. if its not too loud ill get one bought!

Just checked. They sound quite comical, not too loud though so probably my best bet. £250 for a full stainless system isnt a bad deal really

Well Thought i may as well update. Went to IM axles the other week and got a new rear beam along with a 60mm drop front and rear but i still dont think its low enough at the front, i hate arch gap! also got a debadged grille for it.
