Default head gasket problem.... again

Hi, I bought my 1.4 westie on Thursday took it for a long test drive etc when I got back to the house of the fella I bought it of I checked the Oil cap, no mayo all clean. He told me the car has been sitting for two years and he just mot'd it (the old one was there from 2010) The rocker cover gasket is completely corroded, the car isn't over heating, no white smoke, no oil in coolant and not losing water or oil. Anyway I took the car for a short drive down to the shop, got back and decided to check the oil cap again and there was a bit of mayo on it.... Could it just be a build up of condensation? Would the emissions not have been higher if it was away? Would a good service help if it was condensation? Don't think it was serviced before the MOT..

a short drive plus been sitting for two years is condensation mate, what you want to do is give it a good full service then a nice long drive.

not sure about emmissions btw.

thanks mate I can't afford it to be the head gasket as my last one went in the last car and it ended up in the scrap yard! Do you know what colour coolant is as standard? Im just curious as I have spare coolant and its blue and my dads is red and mines more of a orange colour

Blue antifreeze and red antifreeze shouldnt be mixed but i cant see the harm in it myself. The difference is blue is 2year life and red is 5year 'long' life
