Exclamation still have problem

my 106 gti keeps cutting out and though it was a spiked ecu and replaced it this morn and this isnt the problem


what do u guys/girls think

What led you to believe it was a spiked ECU? Have you had a diagnostics test done?

there is a problem that the coil pack can spike the ecu
at least i have a spare now
ye i did have a diagnostic test and every thing came back fine
so im a bit stuck with the car off the road

in the mean time im gettin the 2 buses to work which takes an hour

Does the diagnostics test check the coil pack itself?

it ticks over and runs for like 5 seconds and dies.....been told it could be map sensor or even the wiring behind engine..not 100% tho

not sure me dad took it when i was at work

I thought the MAP sensor was read during a diagnostics test. Is it was reading then it is probably working fine.

i dont have a clue will jack it up 2nite and see if any air or fuel pipes have came loose

could be as simple as tht i hope

only picked it up for a 1000

got the ecus fitted and have no joy

what does anyone thnk it is?
