Legit and non legit xbox 360

Right guys i got banned at christmas coz my xbox was flashed so i went and bought another one so i could play online. Just wondering if i keep swapping the hard drive over between the 2 consoles, will the non flashed 1 get banned or will microsoft not be able to tell??

The hard drive aint flashed, its the xbox iirc.

So you should be ok.

don't see the point in flashing and risking getting caught and banned.

Cheers mate i just dont see the point in paying full price if i dont even play the game online which is why ive kept the flashed one also, cant go wrong with £2.99 a game lol

It's not the hard drive, or the XBox that is flashed.
Your DVD drive inside the XBOX is flashed.
but the thing that gets banned is your XBOX's serial number.

You can get an unbanned xbox serial number (I can sort you out)
then JTAG your xbox and write the unbanned serial to the banned xbox's motherboard and it will be unbanned.

You need to have JTAG'able dashboard to be able to do this!

Right ive been swapping the hardrive between the 2 consoles but every time i plug it back into the non banned 1, my gamer profile corrupts? Whats this all about and is there any way of avoiding this? I also lose all my game saves off the banned xbox but the ame saves from the unbanned one remain

Your banned one will most likely be on a slightly older dash (one which disabled the hard disk). Search xbox-scene for what was disabled on your console when it was banned.


You could update the dash on the banned console by usb stick and hard disk will be fine but you would loose the ability to play divx etc as you won't be able to redownload the optional media update.

Cheers for the info mate, had a quick look at that xbox scene website and according to the info i found ( http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/...FpeyBGdGIN.php) theres nothing i can do

ill just try get a cheap 2nd hand hardrive to use in it

No bother, update would sort hard disk but like I say you'd loose divx support
