Default Be Boxes? gti6 Clutches? HELP PLEASE!

Having a very werid problem at the moment need someones hlp asap!!

on the gti engine and the old a new clutch the release bearing is part off the clutch cover, now when we come to fit the box back, we put the fork under the bearing how its ment to go.. (not free release bearing!)

and we put some bolts in the box, all fits flush and nicely.. but when we connect it the cable pulls the lever inwards towards back off the car..

now thats pushing against the clutch plate.. but if we pull the lever te other way that releases the plate and is what its ment to do.. any one know where we are going wrong?

Help please!
