Runner 125 4t?

Definitely get a 4 stroke as far far more reliable than 2 stroke.

yeah thats what i thought, but im looking at a 1991 yamaha dt125, £500 it is advertised at, only 20k and just been taxed. insurance is only £200 aswell, (fire and theft)
i think it would be great for a few months.
but if i get a 50 ped, like a peugeot speed fighter or something, after im done my little bro will buy it off me,(he turns 16 in November) so might be able to make all my money back. hmm...

Enlighten us im a motocross racer and im sure you will struggle to get yz parts to fit.

If you go for the dt try and get one with electronic powervalve which you can adjust so it opens sooner.Deffo get the DEP stainless exhaust system to deristrict it.

Buy an RS125 and be done with it (yes I know this isn't a sensible idea!)

If you just want it to get to work on go for a scooter. Something like an Aprilia SR125 would be the best 2 stroke option, or a honda Dylan 125 if you want a 4 stroke.

If you want a 125 bike, the best handling, fastest, best built and most reliable 125 is the aprilia RS125. just make sure you get a good one and not an old one with a 123 engine, resprayed body panels and self tappers where the bodywork fasteners used to be.

ive had a few bikes, if you want sorta reliable definitely either go for an old 2 smoker.. there aren't many reliable affordable 4 strokes, there is the new honda and yam but there are big money.

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T BE TEMPTED TO BUY A CHEAP CHINESE IMPORT, IT WILL BREAK.. A LOT

a few suggestions ive rode and recommend, Yamaha TZR 125, Suzuki RG125, Kawasaki kmx 125, Yamaha DT125, Suzuki TS125.. all are quite fast and easy to work on. quickest is probably the rg..

if you fancy something a little more exoctic get a cagiva mito 125, the old evolution model had 7 gears, a powerband thinner than a flea's pube between about 10k and 12k and a top whacker of 110 lol

cheers mate, will look into all these bikes now, a few mates of mine have TZR's and they say aslong as it is not British it should be fine. a friend has a Italian inport, hasnt had any problems as of yet, but my friend with the british one just keep breaking. DT125's are awesome, i thought the cagiva was very unreiable?
