you will want new wheel bearings aswell as hubs.

Best way i find is to get a socket the same size as the end where the drive shaft / cv joint slides in. Then just wack that socket and the whole hub should come out, with the end of the wheelbearing on it. Or you could press them out, if you have access to a press.

Oh bugger the bearings are virtually brand new on them is there no way of separating the two without destroying the bearings?

No access to a press, is the socket method fairly safe/idiot proof? Do you fit the new bearings with a socket too?

Hey mate,

On the front of the car, ABS has nothing to do with the hubs atall.

The ABS pick up ring is on your driveshaft. The ABS sensor then bolts onto the strut leg itself. It wouldnt be too difficult to drill and tap 2 threads into the strut to support it

Love when people just guess

As matthew says the driveshaft is what has to be abs or not

Sensor will be an easy swap

For those mocking the validity of the ABS question - slow clap for you.

The hub flange is ever so slightly a different size between ABS and non ABS models. I have found this out to my detriment in the past. Make sure you have the right size flange!

It's not an abs thing, its a driveshaft thing, early ones are flat, 2001+ are tapered

Yes that's also true, but if you go by the Citroen parts catalogue, you have to specify ABS or non ABS model - I'm not saying the flange diameter is directly related to the ABS system, but it's certainly how the two different types are identified.

Hope the ABS sensor is held on by an M6 bolt then...

Will try and get it sorted before I bring the car up, if not it needs to be tagged on to my giant list
