dorset saxo thread *now for reluctant sale £900 5 months mot and tax
a friend of my sister had a vtr for sale, and not really liking them due to boyracers etc i dint pay much attension to it, but after 3 months of her still selling it i just went for a look (taking my brother in law a mechanic) and it was a mk1 vtr in black and she was second owner, after going right over it it was mint so the price was disscussed and i just suggested 400 as it didnt have tax and mot and she agreed, it was booked in for mot and flew throuh that and this is it after i got it home
drove it for about 2 weeks and the mod bug started with angel eyes from subtlevtr if i remember right
then i got a simota enclosed filter from a vts which didnt fit perfectly so a few bodges had to take place
which are now sorted will get pics up of the proper fitted article
then spax springs and shocks which took it down 55mm all round which me and my mate did in our new heated garage, rear torsions wernt to bad but one side was properly grown in, but once removed we did it by measurement and did it perfect first time, so took some pics before i had chance to wash it
its a real pain round where i live as there are three roads in to village and all have bloody cow farms on them and always shitty roads so washing doesnt happen much will get clean pics up soon
also plasma dials fitted and love them and managed to get ripspeed dvd head unit for 30quid pics to follow
any suggestions to improve will be appreciated

i did think that but every one does that and then paint alloys black but i wanna keep it a little of the norm, try and keep it origonal but better, it really isnt gonna differ much from how it looks now but hopefully the engine will be the centre for mods, im tempted to keep it as a vtr but cam it etc, so its a quick vtr, but the oppertunaty of a vts lump is looming that ive found deep in a scrap yard, but relly not sure as its alot of work and i cant do with out the car for more than a weekend, so we'll see what comes of it, or i could do summit like reupholster some ones interior in exchange for an engine as am a fully qualified upholsterer and think it would be a fair swap, so if any ones interested give me a pm and we'll talk
