Default Swapping a track rod

Hi, got an advisory on the last MOT saying n/s track rod end play resulting in some sideways on the wheel, after investigation it is not the track rod end but the track rod has the play on the inside near the pinch bolt where it joins the rack.
So it looks a real nightmare to see let along change it (although eurocar parts sell it!)

Has anyone any hints tips to doing the job, I was looking and thinking might disconnect both track rod ends and the pinch bolt and take the whole thing out if possible??

I'm sure someone must have done it.

Cheers crowds
