Yes, you will have to use high temp paint. It will just bubble and flake off if you don't.

If you want them polished up then use the guide above or alternatively you can get them powder coated or sprayed in high temp paint professionally for around £40-60 a set. I have done them with rattle cans before but after time they do loose there shine a bit.

i never used high temp paint and its fine, it never gets very hot anyway, i mean you can touch it after been driven so cant be that hot, you have more choice of colours if you dont use high temp paint

I did mine the other day using high temp engine Lacquer. Gives it a 'silvery metal' look

You don't need to use high temp paint for the rocket cover, normal paint will do. Polishing is a pain in the ass, don't bother im frankly sick of polishing things now

You will be able to get just as good results by hand but it will take probably 1000x longer, depends on if you want a mirror finish or just a shine. If it's already polished autosol should clean it right up. Amazing stuff

polish it up as much as you can then clean it with a solvent then take it to be clear powder coated makes them shiny as fuck and you don't have to worry about polishing them back up every month.
