Question How do change location of 12v yellow wire?

Hi, just a quick question.

CD Player hooked up but for some reason the position of the yellow 12v wire has been altered by a previous owner so the dam thing resets every time i switch the car off

I need to re position where the yellow wire goes to on cars the plug in, so it matches up with the one on the cd player wiring harness. Buttt...... i have never repositioned the wires before and would like to know how to do it without breaking it... can i just pull the wire out or do i have to remover the metal clip thing on the front. then how do i put it back in?

Cheers

You often find that there is a bullet connector in line, but i'm guessing there isnt?

In which case, get some snips, and cut the yellow wire, then cut the red wire and join the red to the yellow and vice versa.

The red wire is ignition live, the yellow is permanent live. For whatever reason, Saxo's are the wrong way round! :s

Yes mate, just swap them round.

You may need to cut them if there are no bullet connectors in the wires. Sometimes there is, sometimes there isnt.

It's not a problem cutting them anyway.
