They are useless.

paid for my car tax 20th december (ran out 31st)

tax disc still hadnt come through last monday so phoned them and asked them what was going on etc. when i asked them about no tax disc in car etc they said oh you have until midnight tuesday before you need to display your car tax. when i said i dont have it they told me to put car off the road until it turned up. so i ranted down the phone at them for 20 mins until the agreed to send a duplicate out that finally arrived today. so i have missed on nearly a months tax whilst not being able to use my damn car

Rant/

Agreed idiots, due to the insane rules about private plates I had to lose mine on a car worth about 2p. The plate was worth much more, never again going to get a private plate not worth the hassle!

They done the same to me... the worst bit is they has already sent me the letter saying the vehicle was no longer in my name! What a joke.

Did they clarify that they sent it out 100% the first time?!

I get what you mean, they spark mass confusion and often act as though they dont give a toss

To be fair, I have taxed my car online since you were able to and never had an issue
You were just unlucky, they have millions of motorists who dont have any issues
Sometimes things just happen out of thier control.....royal mail for example!
