Dont know if this has been asked before but does/did the mk1 vtr have multipoint injection?

vtr has always had multipoint across all 3 engine types

I thought so and only asked cuz i had a quick look last night and it was multipoint! lol so how does the mk2 get an 8bhp gain?

iirc the Cat on the Mk2 VTR (In the Mani) is alot more restrictive than the Mk1 VTR design, therefore, a Mk2 VTR engine has more than a 8bhp gain if you de-catted both engines.

As said above, its all done through management and slight changes in design.

only the1.0 and 1.1i mark1 is single injection. all other engine sizes should be multipoint. i belive mk2 1.1s do have multipoint injection. if im wrong please correct me

I'm sure mk2 has a different Cam ?
Not sure if the inlet is any better than the mk1 type

not all mk2s are 98bhp,people keep saying that and its wrong. 98bhp were 3 plug with cat in the downpipe,the others were 90bhp exactly the same as later mk1 engines
