Default Cutting out

I was driving along today and i pulled over to answer my fone and my engine cut out all the lights on the dash came on.

Then i just got back from mates house and it did it again at a junction, so i just turnt it over again to fire it up.

I have no idea y this is doing it do any one know?

I got a 2001 furio with 32 on the clock if that helps

If you have your warranty take it into citroen buddy, if you dont take it to a garage. The heat may have something to do with it, my car was playing up today for no reason at all.

Could be a number of sensors or the coil pack or even shagged spark plugs. Probably a sensor or coil pack though.

Was talking to a guy at my local garage about this problem and it seems it is most likely to be the coil pack...

This did happen to me on mine a couple of times and ended up being a faulty spark plug, changed them all and not happened since.

I would just change the spark plugs, and see how it goes. If it happens again then just take it to ur local garage. DON'T take it to Citreon or you'l walk out without ur wallet!

Same sort of thing happens to me.

But it happens when i start it up on a cold engine.

Had a major service on it & ever seince that, it has happened, also had the spark plugs & fuel filter changed.

I bought some very good spark plugs a few months before the service for them pricks to go & put cheapy ones in.

I've been told, and whether or not this is true that some spark plugs don't work well in Saxo engines. I'd had good ones put in mine and had the above issue and then changed them to ones specified by Citroen and never had a problem since.

Anyone else heard this or had same problem?
