Default Replacing My Catalytic Convertor

got a new cat for my saxo vtr v reg , just wondering if anyone can give me a step by step guide on how to get old one off and the new one on ? and is it that simple . thanks

its as simple as a few bolts on paper. 13mm or 14mm spanner and a jack /axle stands.


Things worth noting are - the buggers gonna be seized on, so start the job armed with oil and maybe a blow lamp. its probably better to start the job after giving the car a good hard run so its not.. although that makes it not very comfortable!.

Also cheap cats = crap, they wont last any time atall. So if your doing the job try spend a few quid on decent cat IE not the cheapiest nastiest one euro car parts sell!

Im guessing its an undercar cat. in which case its either 10mm or 13mm socket and spanner to take it from the downpipe and detatch it from centre section. Insert new cat and re connect.
