Default cam problem (please help) :)

I locked off the pulleys and crank shalf before i removed them and i am gussing the valves have lifted.

would like to no how i do this and is it just a case off pressing the tappets down and fitting cams?

need help asap as need to get car on road for trax!

put a locking pin in crank, locking pins in cams (5mm drill bit works fine), refit timing belt, job done.

when you tighten the ladders down they'll sit right. (I presume you mean they're sitting on the followers). Then you can turn them until you can get the locking pins in. When the top end is locked up, and the bottom end is locked up, then it's timed correctly. Put the belt on.
