But it takes some cracking pictures
How do you get your borders around the pictures like that?

Nice pics. They can use if bit of contrast though. Try adjusting the levels in Photoshop, or try autolevels (Ctrl-Shift-L).

The lenses are the real expensive bit! My lenses are worth way more than the camera.
And the border is a Photoshop plugin I emailed to Simo some time ago. I think he posted it on this forum some time ago.

That isn't the actual plugin, I made a .PSD my self, still yet to use the script.
