Stroker engine
Hi,
I'm building a vts engine and will b using the 1800cc stroker kit. Are there any other considerations for weaknesses in the ti5j4 engine that may need to be updated during assembly? Apart from no fm lol. Also people who have done this what sort of power and torque is expected after a good mapping session?

With a Cat Cams 1321743 camshaft you should be heading towards 200bhp but with peak power and torque 1000 rpm lower.

It will be a stock head except with some fast road cat cams.

Why spend all the money on stroker kit and nothing to the head? Has anyone use the zrp kit and got some data and reliable information?

I hadn't really thought of the top end yet. Concentrating on getting a solid bottom before moving onto the head. Those cams look promising though

you've done it all back to front tbh.
you need to know what camshafts you plan to use to know how much valve clearance you need to the pistons and what compression ratio you need from the piston dome and chamber size to work properly with the camshafts.

Ok. I can take feedback. Is there a consensus that I should investigate what to do to the head first? I can take my time on this project as it's going into a VTR but I have all the bigs (ikon, key, etc.). I would be interested to know if there is anyone in here that can unlock the ecu??
