Default alternator

still got battery light on on my 2001 vts put a new alternator on and a new battery cleaned the earth from engine to battery and the earths to the body, the 2 pin plug can you buy a new one , got no charge going to battery cos i have checked with a batt/alternator tester. dont no if the strange bearing sound coming from under the bonnet has anything to do with it. any help would be great.

Check all connections between the Battery, Alternator and starter motor. Also check all earths. Brand new alternator?

well i bought a new alternator from ebay but still battery light on ,so i took the alternator to get checked and he phoned me and said regulater was f++ked so told him to sort ,put it back on and still the same so i think hes had my pants down.

It does sound like the voltage regulater. If you havnt replaced the battery then it might be that the battery was old and cant restore its voltage and maintain it because its old and tired.

try another battery thats fully charged with your alternator

sorted at last the 2 pin plug was the trouble ,i pulled the plug off and shoved a piece of copper wire in each side of the plug and pushed it back on , sorted.
