Default Key/Imobiliser Light Flashing

Hi, new to the forum after buying my first Saxo VTR (Y reg) yesterday and just when I bought it the battery died as I was trying to start is, and since then the Key/Imobiliser light has been flashing, the car is running fine starts first time so the imobiliser isn't cutting in. But what can I do to get rid of the light?
I've had a quick read and people have said disconnecting the battery for about an hour might do something? Or would it be the case of taking it to a garage to get the fault code cleared?

Thanks
Sion

disconnecting the battery resets the ecu so should clear lights, although not sure if its normal for the key light to come on just for a flat battery?

Well the battery had run down and I tried to start it and when cranking the alarm went off, put a booster on it and started up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with how its running so I'm thinking its something to do with it not seeing the code on the key momentarily then it found it and the code is just stored there.

I'll try the battery thing tomorrow night, thanks

Tried disconnecting the battery tonight but didn't work, still flashing away. Any other suggestions? Don't mind taking it to garage but just wandering if there's something I can do before taking it there.

Like I said there is no difference in performance, and starts no problem etc etc it's just a bit annoying.

Thanks
Sion
