One thing in my experience, and on mates cars, shake the wheels very hard at 90 degrees. Didnt do it on mine and my wheel bearings were gone so if they seem loose walk away, or if its not private ask about what they can do to sort it/ lower the price etc

Check all the services and receipts that come with it, if theres shitloads of stuff being changed every time its serviced or MOT'ed then the chances are the cars been treated poorly. Also the obvious one is to request a test drive and listen carefully for any dodgy noises

best thing to check on a saxo is:
1) Service history - Do not buy if there is very little / none.
2) Mileage, i wouldnt buy a car with over 70,000 miles on the clock if you can help it, saxos dont last much past 120,000 miles as a rule
3) Brakes, Oil leeks and clutch. These are weak points on a saxo.
4) Any knocks / squeeks from the suspension / airbag light / PAS light (if PAS on the car) and who the previous owner is ie a kid, a middle aged bloke or a granny!
ALOT of saxos have been thrased in their past (specially saxo VTR/VTS) so look out for engine condition and any leeks / sign of wear.
CHECK UNDER THE OIL CAP FOR ANY SIGN OF MAYO / WATER.
thats about it haha and dont forget to look at the bodywork propperly for chips / dents.
GOOD LUCK DUDE.

i had that with the seat, cos the runners arent parrallel, undo the four bolts to the seat so theyre lose then one side has to be done up first but cant remember which, think its the outside as the inside where the handbrake is can then be done up and move to the correct position

I'd also check all the water seals all the way around the car..
But as said before take it for a test drive just to get an idea

Whatever happens you will always find more little bits when you've bought any car! i didnt notice a slight bulge in my bumper and a crack in the dash when i got mine.
but check for wear n tear and all the components are fine, IE suspension sits properly (put some weight on it and make sure it is bouncy) and as above really!!
good luck mate

Milage is right, But it is a bit deer. You can buy a nice mk2 for that money. It sound like with all the extra parts that have been fitted the last owner likes to drive. Has it been on a track. That is one question that I would ask.
