hello
today i'm going to test my 106 gti at the dyno. in wich gear must test 4th or 5th ???
please answer ...

thanks rey
yesterday i tested my car at 5th gear 86whp at 5100 rpm :d wdf .. but dyno options was for RWD car so. i have vey pure results 86whp (( today they called me and say yestarday was our mistake , come today for new test car wich is more slower then my has 106hwp
sorry for my bad english but now i wanna be sure that's everything is correct

4th gear is normally as close to a direct drive in terms of ratios as you can get, so most good dyno operators will know to do a final power run in 4th gear. Hope you get a good result!

1:1 drive is ideally what you're aiming for. 4th or 5th is usually used because of that. If it's high powered, it'll be 5th to help control wheelslip though. The higher the gear, the more data samples can be taken from the run too.

The more important point is that the NEXT time it's dyno'd it's done in the same gear, under the same conditions (type pressures etc)
