Its got rust on the bonnet, how bad is the rest of the car going to be?
I know I can't say shit with the R word, but you may be walking into a shitter.
Tip for the future, never buy someone elses modified project, you cannot make it your own and your just repairing someone elses problems. Buy a car Standard and make it your own.

Rust.
and I quote;
Quote:
Its been a while since I updated this, couldn't upload pictures to Sax-P for some weird reason. Oh well.
Right, everyone who has met me knows I take short cuts where I can, and today is no exception, prepare to LOL.
The Good..
Its booked in for its Full Respray, goes in on Monday 15th August. Sweeet. Hai New Colour. So I attacked it with some noob bodywork Flattening the bonnet and Primering it up to try my hand at getting the Tip-Ex that the previous owner of the bonnet used
Need to sort out a few more bits, like a noob error of the previous owner of the car done;
Oh yeah, and I got this Boot Build off Richie, once again, another buy of mine is wankable, well to myself anyway.
Ze Bad.
Well, I was going to Hammerite the arches to protect them from Rust this weekend, turns out I was a LITTLE too late. ****. Started sweet..
& Then.. BOOOOOOOM. I detest this prick.
Poking with a screwdriver.. Meh.
Well, what would you do? Send it to a professional Welder? Yes that's what you would have done, but I'm not like the rest of you, I had Mikol on my shoulder, Grind the prick. Wire Brush the Shit. Treat the patch. Fiberglass. Filler. Spray It. Sand It. Hammerite It. & yes it works. Just a temporary job till Mr. Big Dick Welder comes out.
Grinder was a pussy.
Yes that is 1 Tub of filler. Yes. Be shocked.
Hammerite Time. Yes, Its sweet, and yes, the rear arches are sealed and treated, So won't rust or break for the next 5 years-ish
One slight problem. This was the drivers side, although the passenger side is nowhere near as bad, it still has 1 or 2 small 3cmx3cm spots, which will get the same treatment for the meanwhile. Oh well, least I didn't have a hissy and break the car for spares over a small problem that was rather fun to fix
|
Now that's a perfect example of rust protecting LOL.
