Default Lee's Black Saxo VTR.... Up for sale now.

Hey guys,

Well the rallye has now sold and I'm just waiting for it to be collected so I went and picked up my new saxo Saturday night time (15/01/2011) massive thanks to Alexb for running me to fetch it and sorry the shit I caused you. It's a 53 reg black vtr It's already got some tasty bits on it, non airbagged gti leathers + front doorcards, raceland mani supersprint race system, lowered 60mm, gloss black vts wheels and it's quiet low mileage too, only being on 88k. it's got a mountain of history too which is always nice. and only cost me £1500

o
here's a few photos iv stole of the previous owner Rossi86..

Before anyone comments too yes i know the lambda needs sleeving and lols at it being cable tied to the upper brace.

It's got a few little faults but that's fine cause most of the cars getting replaced anyways my parts bin at the mo is like Santa grotto that iv got to fit so win tbh!

So far iv discovered:
the water temp gauge didnt work Lols but thats now sorted thanks to two new sensors from citreon on the cheap .
the brakes don't work well hardly Lols but its fine cause iv got 4pots to fit
the paintwork needs a serious whoring it's rather swirly.
I'm not keen on vts wheels really so they are getting swapped Lols

So i set about giving the car a damn good look over now that it's back home and in the garage and rust wise and general condition wise the cars very very good. so i spent most of Sunday/tonight fitting the following:

New droplinks
H&R coilovers
Wilwood 4 pots
OZ Superlegs in grey with Yokohama pradas in 195/50/15's
Floflex anti roll bar bushes
New wishbones with black powerflex front bushes
Omp lower brace
Shiney interior door handles
New speakers and a jvc headunit
5000k Standard h4 philips headlight bulbs
106 GTI mirrors
RMD dished steering wheel...

Still to fit:
S2 rallye box
Rear beam with 23mm torsion bars and black capped group n billys and powerflex bushes from the rallye
Group a pugsport engine mounts
And I need to put the car on a serious diet.... all sound deadening needs removing to reduce some weight aha and aid fuel economy ;-)/speed Lols.

here's some photos of some of my parts that i kept from the rallye fitted and a little teaser pic to keep you guys hanging on till the weekend when hopefully i can go out and get some decent photos with a clean saxo thats got all my stuff fitted. sorry about all the iPhone pics too dads lost our proper camera.

thats all iv got currently as i got carried away with fitting parts and forgot to take photos.

so ill whore it out a load and get lots of new photos for you guys over the next few days and hopefully at the weekend with a decent camera

im looking at swapping the front bumper for a standard one, if anyone has a black vtr/s and its got a mint front bumper with fogs in and youd like this one. im also selling the gloss vts wheels too if anyones interested just pm me.

hope you guys enjoyed the read thats all for now.

Lee

If this thread turns out to be half as good as your old sax, it's going to be one of the best on the site.
Good luck mate

It was just too a radical change from the vtr you had lol.

Track day abuse and whoring should be a fun combination......the only bad thing about dark colours is they show all the chips and marks However the reflections you can get are awesome.

Must be nice to have all those parts to fit lol What are your plans performance wise - Are you going for big power like the Rallye or just a fun 8v lump to use on track?

well Rossi was my ex gf and I'd already fitted most the parts to it. so when she told me she was selling and I'd just broke my rallye for parts I couldn't not buy it as I'd always had a soft spot for the car. don't worry either mate I'll look after this.

Lols I agree on the radical change but this saxo won't be a million miles away from my rallye tbh as it's gunna look relatively similar.

I know I cried nearly when I drove it into my garage and seen all the swirls iv seriously got my work cut out for me. it's all about the reflections tbh too.

Lols I couldn't miss the chance to own this car iv wanted a black mk2 saxo for years! and I know this car so well. as I made it what it was when I brought it, while I was going out with rossi, she done really well keeping it in great condition.

Lols yea it is mate! but I did keep quiet alot from the rallye. I'm just leaving this as a fun 8v to learn how to drive on track tbh might upgrade to a 16v if anything happens to the 8v lump.

there covered in brake dust at the mo mate as the previous owner didn't bother to clean them and nor have I tbh not yet anyways! the greys awesome though it's like battleship grey but abit darker and looks loads better in person.

Lmao, i don't blame you for it dude. Enjoy it. As said before, don't get too carried away with this one (for the time being atleast) and don't go chasing any type of figure's or whatever.

Keep it as cheap fun
