Default What MPG you running? (furio/westcoasts)

There are a few older threads but i want an up to date thread and only the 1.4s, feel free to post your MPG if you have a VTR/s or 1.1 too, but im interested in the furios

Im currently on about 49 MPG

I managed a maximum of 55 MPG on the way back from FCS this year

I want to know your MPG for when you dont drive like a dirked'

just effecient driving by your calculations and the figures of miles per how much fuel etc..

Just wondering if my car is especially good with fuel or if i could perhaps get some more?

Also what speed on the motorway you find most efficient (and RPM)

Cheers for your input guys

well i can travel to Basingstoke and back on a 1/4 of a tank and still not have the red on which is about 18miles each way, you can do the math as i cba. But to me that seems good!

I fill up petrol at 131.9 and I fill up £10 and get 65miles, town driving.
Motorways I can get 90 miles for £10.

That's my 1.4 with just powerflow exhaust, no other mods.

Asda down the road is 128.7 for normal unleaded.

131.9 I use is normal shell unleaded, I think shell lasts longer.

Live in birmingham.

rounding it up to about £6 per gallon (4.54l) means £10 is 1 and 2/3rd gallons to 90 miles, thats around 55mpg give or take on the motorway

Sick, these furios are that good, i wasnt sure!

My lupo struggled 40 tbh, my vtr did 35 - 40 at best

Happy days

shell here is the same price as tesco and sainsbury which is 135.9 (well it was the other day), dont have an asda here. BP and texaco are always about 2p more. And i agree, i think shell lasts longer, plus my car seems to run better on shell. which i dont get as i thought it was all the same?

My VTR get between 40 and 45 with a mix of knocking around, short trips long trips and occasional up to 6k blats. That's over a full tank. Not bad if you ask me.

1.4s are pretty economical, no reason to get a 1.1 IMO. You end up pushing them harder,

If you worry about MPG a lot, you don't enjoy driving imo.

the BMW's pretty fuel efficient for it's size / engine size / weight though. I bike to work etc so only really use the car for fun aka, no MPG worries.

What do you get from yours? Same engine but lighter car...

The cars life average is 34.7mpg or something like that. If I try I can get it to read 12mpg then anywhere upto 55/60mpg when just cruising at a certain speed. Normally between 35-45mpg though

we just get savagely raped for fuel though - apparently the garage on the way to hermitage is cheaper tho - i cant recall first hand though
