Default confused!!!!!

Hi keep getting told diffrent things by different people, changing gearbox and noticed my cat pipe had a crack in it,my car is a mk2 02 vtr with standard manifold and a cat down pipe and a standard center section, when noticing the crack on the cat pipe I was thinking of getting a decat pipe as car went through m.o.t last month ,so is the a decat (downpipe) that will fit my car or do I have to get a different manifold if I want a decat pipe? Cheers

yep the cat is in the manifold down pipe bit you can do a pikey job and nock it out but thats dodgy lol have a look at fitting a four branch you may have to move the plastic oil filter housing

as said you can either fit a four branch manifold or you can fit a Mk1 downpipe & manifold but that will mean relocating the oil filter to a mk1 aswell..
