Default Found a nice Saxo 1.5D but.....

It ain't got no history and it's on 69k with original timing belt. I fancy the motor, it's in good nic but if I do I'll have to drive it 50 miles home and I can guarantee I'll be shitting myself and spinning out ever step of the way home with the belt sooo close to the change interval...

I know it's a case of how long's a piece of string but would anyone chance it, is the 1.5 a non contact engine or is it snap shagged dead replace engine?

Also, what would leak oil under the air box - is there a gasket knocking about?

Cheers all.....

you would have to be very very very unlucky if it snapped on the way home lol, but if you are that worried about it you not got any mates/family that could trailor it home?

They dont just snap dead on interval you know. Its a guideline that stops people driving 100k on a knackered belt. Mines due soon tbh
