Default saxo furio or......

i currently have a 1.1 i want to sell, was thinking of getting a 1.4 furio as i cant afford insurance on a vtr/vts because im 18, is a furio the right way to go!?

yeah I'd say go for it, theres no point ripping yourself on insurance for a vtr/s when your 18. Plus a furio to vtr engine conversion would be pretty cheap if you wanted a bit more power after a while.

p.s the black furio's with the red and black interior are well smart

I had a 1.1 for a month then got a furio. The furio feels like its got so much more to give in 2nd and 3rd gear compared to the 1.1 At 60/70 in 4th if you put your foot down in a furio the response is quite abit faster compared to the 1.1 AND when i changed to a furio in my second month of driving my insurance didnt go up at all. Might of been abit of a fluke that I got. Also the Furio can have all the looks of the VTR or VTS so imo its great if your on a budget with insurance like I am!

you can pick them up pretty cheap too! yeah they look good, ideally want a black furio and get some vts alloys and paint them white....

will pick up quicker due to the furio is multi point injection and the 1.1 is single point.

you'll find the furio will have better fuel economy if driven properly. best thing to do get one and get a few years ncd behind you then get a vts if thats where you want to go.

i got myself a black one cause it's the best of both worlds vtr/s looks with a nice bit of economy. but i'm only owning mine till i got around 4 yrs ncd then moving on to something alot quicker than a vts then again mite not bother lol

If you are used to driving a 1.1 then the Furio will feel faster but not massively and you will probably be bored of it after a while, similar to the 1.1 now.

1.1 is 60bhp and Furio is 75bhp so not a huge difference.

Personally, I would wait until you are old enough to insuren a VTR/VTS and get one of those.

What will happen is you will get a furio, keep it for a year and then get a VTR......the money you spent on the furio + extra insurance could be saved to get a better VTR
