Debadging Rear
I have been searching but cannot find an answer, I have bought some P38 filler and assorted sandpaper, when I take the badge off can I apply the filler or do I have to weld something against the holes so it doesn't crack?
Thanks

I did it the 'pikey' way and super glued 2 pence pieces behind the holes. Never cracked.

It would be best to weld small plates behind the holes yeah, sometimes the pikey method works sometimes it doesnt. Especially with the boot being slammed etc.

Take the black plastic off. Its held in by 3 screws, one of each side and one in the middle, then pull it off. You'll see the pins holding the badges in place if you havent taken them off yet.

Yeh as it was my first ever time trying painting or body work at all, I messed up first time lol Sanded back and had another go, still didn't come out right but I was trying to blend 13 year old red paint with brand new paint :/ After a lot of hours i got it semi decent, enough to be happy with.

The only problem with this is matching the paint.

I managed to get off saxo one and because it had the holes there I got another sticker and positioned it so the sticker covered both the holes!
