Default Running Lean! :/

Just had my car plugged in as the engine light was on and it came up with engine running to lean!
How can i fix this ? Any help will be helpful thank you in advance.

Could be a few things, air filter could be blocked, injectors stuck open to name 2. Personally would start with the air filter

injectors stuck open and blocked air filter would lead to the car running rich as it would be getting 2 much fuel and not enough air but running lean would be the opposite, underfueling so could be number of things, fuel pump on the way out or blocked as with fuel filter, could be tps or map either

Its had a new fuel pump so it cant be that. whats tps ? i take it map means map sensor ?

o aye haha, always get it mixed up! Best start would be fuel filter/pump

How will i be able to tell if the fuel pump is blocked ? Would i have to put another one in there and see how it goes ?

Yeah just replace it, they are only a few quid, there is a guide on here if you don't know how to do it. Was posted by Mark51
