Default engine rebuild

well i have got a vts engine i had in a previous car that i bought on the cheap which had apparently has had headwork from LAD. well im wanting to throw it into my furio. but before i do i want to rebuild it as its done 105k

so can someone give me a list of stuff i can do with replacing?

it was running sweet before i took it out apart from kicking out black smoke at gear change when giving it a little boot

Head gasket and all gaskets associated, can usually buy this as a kit it will include exhaust and inlet gaskets, valve stem oil seals head bolts. Water pump and cambelt and idler pulley.

If your rebuilding the bottom end aswell you should be looking at bottom end and main end bearings, thrust washers, crank seals.

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure there's a few other things people can think of.
