Teach me!

[TU-Tuning]

Lots of threads on here, many to read, all with people sayin what they like etc. I was wonderin whether anyone could tell me a good all round cleaning process i could use.

At the moment, shcoking i know, i simply rinse off the car and wash it woth a sponge or chammy cube thing, then dry it with a few old towels. Then i clean the windows witht his cheap 99p crap from work, and clean the trim aswell as attempting to make the tyres shiny using some more cheap crap.

Sometimes i use a polish that i got free from weston wheels last year lol, Auto Glym stuff, but i dont really know what im doin. My car has loadsa little scratches on it, and i always get smears. I have to wash it alot too lol.

Im not too loaded being a part time worker stackin shelves, but i would like some advice as to what stuff to buy, bearing in mind im going to the U S of A soon and i hear this stuffs dirt cheap over there. This Buffer thing sounds pretty cool?

Bit of a beast of a thread lol but cheers for any help. My sax is obviously Posidon Blue and the trim isnt colour coded.

you dont need to be an expert or spend loads of money on cleaning gear to has a good looking clean car.

basically ive probably spend about £30-40 on cleaning stuff and if i can be arsed i can get it gleaming.

Personally i dont see the pint of spending loads of money on cleaning stuff ,which at the end of it all your cars just going to get dirty again.
i wash mine every weekend tho just to keep it looking clean and maybes put abit polish on if i have enough time.

for the trim i bought some turtle wax stuff which was about 3quid.my rub strip where gray at first but after using that a few times it comes up nice and shiny .I use some extreme tyre shine aswel which is a fiver and its quality.makes them really stand out

If you go to polished bliss's websites they have pages and pages of guides there really helpfull.

I think you start spending seroius amounts of money whe you start protecting and restoring the paint, getting it shiney is the easy bit but getting it really shiney takes abit more dedication.

I use gold class brilliant stuff

Best shampoo I do is Poorboy's Slick n Suds - similar to Gold Class, but better value, more lubricated, and leaves a glossier, nicer finish. I rarely use anything else, and it's superb through foam guns too.
