Default Surely this is to blame?? please read

Right as most will know, ive been having problems with the saxo. Doesnt seem to be an engine fault, as it runs sweet as a nut.

Now when u rev the car to certain revs (now about 3-6k) it stutters and drops revs with the management light on. It almost feels like the cars stalling when im trying to rev it.
If i try to drive the car it stalls, as soon as i put it under any load it stalls.
After it stalls, it takes a few minutes before it will start properly again.

Now on the diagnositc its showing a permant fault sprred sensor, which has been replaced and cleared, but the same problem still showing up.
So were thinking either wiring fault, ecu fault etc.

Now after paying £76 to the car sparks for fitting a crank speed sensor which has helped in no way, and to be told .....
''we think its ur ecu which is the problem''
we towed the car home.

Now, we were having a look around the bay yesterday and we were looking around the ecu and came accross this.....

Its the double injection relay with numerous wires comming out from it (loom?), however the plug has at least 3 wires which have their outers cut and they look to have been touching each other.

The car has also blown a 20amp fuse relating to 'injection double relay'

So i ring the auto spark back, to be told yeah ''we seen that, but it has nothing to do with your problem''. I say right, so you spotted bare wires that could potentially touch each other and they are fine!?. ''yep, its not your problem here its something else, and we did what we could with the car.''

Now surely since this wiring is going into the relay for the injection this could potentially be the problem? as its sending signals etc all over the show.

i cant get the wires all insulated properly as the wiring is stripped quite far back into the plug, so i cant even tape them up and try start it.

what do you reckon?
help

I would say that could be the problem bud. If they are touching then it can very likely be the problem. The garage should have done something about that or told you.

fuckign hell that bad, anyone with common sense would know this could pottentionally be the problem, even if it ent to do with the problem he should have informed you if he knew of it. omg i cant belive that. is the wire cover at the plug rubber plastic or is it solid? jsut wonderign as you might be able to cut it open sort the wires and then glue gun it back over

does the plug disconnect as you could cut one of a car from the scrappy further back and the cut your wires and solder together

so as steve said and go to the scrappy cut the wires off and plug further back , a pocket job lol , and then do the same in your car and splice together, if it works then uve fixed it all for a tidy fee of your petrol money to the scrappy.

better still get a mate to giv u a lift then its 100% free :Y:

lol, good idea! but 2 problems with that tho.

1. over here you are not allowed to walk around any scrapyards

2. vtr's are very scarce over here, as most have been written off 2 badle to salvage parts, or else the engines/loom/ecu are pretty much sold before the car reaches the scrapyard!

Could be a number of things mate, mine did something similar when it was still a vtr. I changed the spark plugs and it was fine. Could also be the coil pack.

try some heat srink to cover the wires you will have to cut the heat srink open but as u heat it up it will close, you can get some from some shop like smith and low not sure if you would have one of them near you but worth a try

the wires could be shortin try seperatin them then use a glue gun to keep them from shorting its a lot easier than heat shrinkin
a do it alot at ma work and does the job but the glue could be messy
