saxo vts problem
Hi i have just bought a 2002 vts off ebay and i will be picking it up on saturday but it has some problems should i buy it or is it to much work and could it be worse and how much to fix it cheers
The car has developed a tapping noise from the top of the engine,
Also the brakes require attention as frankly they are rubbish
Alternator light flickers under acceleration, it is the main live onto the alternator which has a dodgy connection (common fault)
Sunroof leaks when it rains (think every Saxo in the world with a sunroof has this problem).
Slight oil leak from cam gasket

the tapping could be lack of oil.
brakes could be new calipers if it's been sat.
if the alt is just a dodgy connection then easy fix
sunroof will probs just require a new seal.
oil leak is common. and most just take the cam cover off and re seal with some gasket sealant.
all depends on how much you paind for it over ebay. and unless it;s not as discribed you are legally obliged to buy it.
