Default Expected RPM for 70mph?

so silly question really..

if ur "cruising" at 70mph, in 5th gear. what are your rpm's??

i have the 1.1i SX, and mine is about 3500rpm, this about average?

Why?

So many different factors/gearboxes.

It's about but as said it depends on what gear box my vtr will sit at 3100rpm at 70 in 5th.

Apparently the vtr box is the best for motorway driving and the 1.1 box and vts are good for acceleration.

My vtr sits just under 3000 at 60 so I'm guessing 3500 for 70 in a 1.1 gearbox is about normal..

At 80mph I sit happily on 4k rpm. 60mph is 3.2k rpm <-- best fuel economy.

Good job you've got the vts rev limit to help in the upper reachers. a 6250rpm limit with an s1 box is a joke
