Default bad brakes

o just bought a pahse 2 in posiedon blue for a grand total of £200 in prestine condition inside and very good condition outside apart from a dint in offside front wing! she starts and drives all gears select ok but i have noticed the brakes are really bad! you really have to press hard for it to stop! this car has been stood for nearly two years any idea what it could be? fluid is fine maybe air locked or something?

saxo brakes are usually heavy, if its really bad though i would look into the servo/master cylinder.

Have you checked the basics such as completely worn pads?

discs when i got it were completely rusted over! all discs seem in good condition and no grooves or nasty noises
