ive had my 98vtr for going on a month and a bit, and im starting to think its a vts.
it does 110 in fourth gear and in a straight drag with a 2003 vtr it won by atleast a length and thats with an experienced driver in the 03. ???
all ive done is put on the viper induction changed the spark pgs and thats bout it. what do you think??

Not really. They are a fun little car and fairly nippy. These days fast is sub 7 seconds to 60 at least.

More than that Williams surely? At the ring I was only using fifth to try and stop the engine going bang by redlining in forth, that was 130ish on the clocks

I thought it was higher up, I guess I have a higher rev limiter which will take it into the 12Xmph side of things. I only ever hit top end in forth on track, specifically the ring. Fuck looking down at the speed at that speed there

if you use a gearbox calculator the speedos aren't as far out as people reckon.

i would argue there williams some are dead on but some are down right outrageous. My vtr was seriously out of sync i had to be doing 80 on the clocks to be showing 70 on gps, where as my vts seems accurate to within a few mph. Gotta love the clown cars we drive
And Dave with that limiter assuming 195/45 tyres in 4th you would doing 123.7MPH. Limiter on 5th would be 152.8mph. And for your own interest if you swapped to a vtr box on same limiter in 5th you would be wetting your knickers at 177.1MPH in a tin box :Y:. Or borrow some 17s and do 189.7.
Ok ill step away from the calculator!
