Default garages and lowering

hi
i had my westy lowered 40mm at triple six recently, when they'd finished i queried the back looking a bit low, obviously the springs need time to settle on the front, but they told me "oh you can only lower it 40mm or 80mm, yer they've done it by the clicks method,
i know there is another way to do it by just measuring it.
does anyone know any places near middlesbrough.

there is the proper way to do it but it requires removing the whole torsion bars and the rest. i remember badger motorsport did a write up on how to do it a few years back and thats how my mate did it, but he lives in yorkshire so bit too far for you. as for 40/80 thats rubbish as it can also be 60mm as each click is 20mm increments.

correct me if i am wrong as i dont actually know how much each click is. but mine has been lowered 1 click and i'm sure it's lower than 20. prop more like 30 (not much diff but still )

basically from what i know about this "turning splines" method, each turn on the torsion bar is 20mm therefore two turns which is what mine has equels 40mm.
