Default New Bosch wiper blades

Hi everyone

Just a quick question.

Have today fitted a pair of BOSCH SP20/18S wiper blades to my 2000 (W) 1.1L Forte and all seems OK. They are securely fitted and sweep the screen fine with no juddering or noise.

It took me a while to fit the drivers side though the passenger side was very quick to do. My sole query is whether the "spoiler" on the driver wiper should be below the blade (i.e. nearer the bodywork than the window when stationary). To me it looks "wrong" but then I am an auto-idiot mechanically.

I think it must be OK as it works but I don't want it flying off into a Shropshire hedgerow on a bound to be rainy trip this weekend!!

Thanks

Derek in Northampton

it would be rather pointless on the rear of the wiper, as it will be lifted off the screen.

The spoiler usually points upwards mate.

Thank you both but I seem to have misled you !!

By "below" I didn't mean "underneath" the wiper blade. I meant that visually when looking at it from outside of the car, the spoiler is lower than the blade rather than above it.

Anyway I have now found the following video which seems to prove I've fitted it correctly !
